Heirloom-quality birth stools, perineal steam seats and womb supports handcrafted in Canada

Hi, my name is Destini, and I’m a professional cabinet and furniture maker.

I handcraft every item here, and bring my magic to the touch with extensive finishing methods. All pieces feel like the silkiest wood you’ll put your skin upon. I’m part of the slow furniture movement, crafting with intent, producing zero wood waste, solely using non-toxic professional grade finishes, while integrating the wisdom of my ancestors in all that I do.

In addition to my Cabinetmaking diploma and Fine Arts degree, I apprentice with a master craftsman of 40+ years to ensure my products receive all the right attention to details and can be used for generations. I personally guarantee the craftwomanship of each piece for your lifetime use.

I’m passionate about supporting holistic approaches to pelvic wellness as a whole, and the direct birthing experiences themselves. I’ve experienced firsthand the transformative effects of what taking my health into my hands has opened up within my body and within my life, and delight in supporting others as they walk this path of sovereignty. Thank you for perusing my offerings and supporting small businesses who are making differences everywhere.

Crafting with intent.

Nature is our guide.

It’s in the details.

These are the things that get us dancing in the studio - conscientious lumber selection, ethical production, meticulous care and uncompromising quality. Often a series of seats will come from a single tree, as we hand-select lumber directly from small-scale sawyers, looking for unique colours and markings not easily found in commercial grade lumber. We use traditional methods where we can to weld, forge and modify tools and supports we’ll need. We fastidiously sand our seats, paying special attention to the finger grooves so that they feel silky smooth to the touch when used during the final stages of birthing to bear down. In-house lasering provides option for clients to add in their own logo at no extra cost. Did I mention that we also hand-stamp seats? We do, using bespoke metal stamps to match holes to legs for clients, and match leg to seats when there are multiples.
